Atticus, struggling to conform to the cruel nature of men in a post-apocalyptic society. Thais, fighting to stay out of the hands of men like him. Forced together, they fall in love. But can love survive in such dark times, or is it fated to die with them?
Thais Fenwick was eleven-years-old when civilization fell, devastated by a virus that killed off the majority of the world’s population. For seven years, Thais and her family lived in a community of survivors deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. But when her town is attacked by raiders, she and her blind sister are taken away to the East-Central Territory where she is destined to live the cruel and unjust kind of life her late mother warned her about.
Atticus Hunt is a troubled soldier in Lexington City who has spent the past seven years trying to conform to the vicious nature of men in a post-apocalyptic society. He knows that in order to survive, he must abandon his morals and his conscience and become like those he is surrounded by. But when he meets Thais, morals and conscience win out over conformity, and he risks his rank and his life to help her. They escape the city and set out together on a long and perilous journey to find safety in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Struggling to survive in a world without electricity, food, shelter, and clean water, Atticus and Thais shed their fear of growing too close, and they fall hopelessly in love. But can love survive in such dark times, or is it fated to die with them?
This book will take you on a long, dangerous, exciting journey. These characters will stay with you and you will fall so in love with them! I want to read it again, and again, and again!
That was an epic read. Pure epic! ... Jessica Redmerski... is an absolutely incredible writer. I fall in love with every book she writes, every character, everything.

I so wasn't expecting everything that happened in Everything Under The Sun, I truly thought that it was just another love story in a post-apocalyptic world but it so much more than that. With it being over 600 pages, you think to yourself why is it so long and will it just be yet another book that tends to drag out longer than what it should but you soon find out that 600 pages just isn't long enough for the story that is being told!

You can't help but to love Thais from the beginning for what she is having to endure from the time she was 11, when a virus completely devastates the world. In those 7 years, she had to deal with the heartache of losing her mother and her sister's ability to see. But it wasn't until a group of raiders that change everything for Thais and set her on this path to meet Atticus in the most horrible way ever.

Atticus had to grow on me from the start but after learning his story, you can't help but to see why he acted in a certain way from the start. It takes a while to learn his full story but it will get graphic on what happened to his family but it will help the reader to fall in love with Atticus as much as Thais does in the end!

Nothing about this book hides the truth about what is happening in this new world, it's going to be graphic and filled with scenes between Atticus & Thais that go a little deeper than what I like to read in post-apocalyptic books but at the same time, it paints a picture for what is being told in this story.

I overall loved this story except for some of the love scenes that kinda took it a bit far but that ending is what sealed my love for this book. That ending will rock your socks off and leaving you wanting more, yes people it's that great of an ending that so makes you wish that the second book in this series was coming out very soon!!

Thank You to Jessica Redmerski for writing a pretty decent book that I hope leads to more books in this series and it would be so awesome to see a movie made from this book!!
